Dear Community Partners,

Join us on August 8, 2026, from 12:00 PM–4:00 PM at the Gilroy City Hall Plaza for a family-friendly, alcohol-free celebration featuring community and health resources, vendors, entertainment, speakers, music, and great food.

We will also host a 21+ Pride After Party later that evening; details to follow.

After receiving community feedback, the name of this year's Pride was changed to be inclusive to all of our South County communities. These include Morgan Hill, San Martin Gilroy and the unincorporated areas of South County.

Currently, we are witnessing an onslaught of anti LGBTQ, anti trans, anti immigrant, anti reproductive rights, anti poverty, anti disability laws being passed.

Locally, Our Honorable District Supervisor Sylvia Arenas has been at the forefront of supporting our LGBTQ, immigrant and vulnerable communities by highlighting and advocating the needs of South County via the Latino Health Assessment Report. We are very grateful for her leadership and commitment of bringing crucial services to our historically forgotten area.

For the members of our community that hold intersecting identities from marginalized groups, now more than ever, we need to support each other especially our trans siblings, immigrants and LGBTQ youth. This is not the first time that this has happened. Our LGBTQ/Queer community is resilient. We have seen this throughout history. From the Compton's Cafeteria Riot in San Francisco in 1966 to the Stonewall Riot in New York in 1969, we always rise to the occasion. We will not apologize for who we are. That is why this year's theme is,

"unapologetically Queer"

We look forward to celebrating Queer joy with all of you at The South County Pride Festival.
